Terms & Conditions

By commissioning work by Your Career Ally, the Client acknowledges that fees are for services provided and as such are non-refundable after the first draft has been delivered. After the Client supplies the appropriate information, Your Career Ally will agree to a time when the first draft will be available for the Client’s review, feedback, and correction. All work will be completed in a timely manner subject to acts of God, equipment failure or other circumstances beyond Your Career Ally’s control. Full payment is required before work commences.

If for any reason Client decides to discontinue use of the services, he/she has commissioned, the Client will be billed for the amount of time spent on his/her order prior and up to the time of cancellation. This includes the information-gathering session and any telephone calls, briefings, emails, or faxes. Notification of this decision is the responsibility of the Client and monies for time spent on their behalf up to this notification become immediately payable. Failure by the Client to notify Your Career Ally of the decision to cancel will not negate payment in full. The rate charged prior to the provision of the first draft is $150 per hour.

Each Client is hereby advised that failure of the Client to respond within 10 business days of the receipt of this first draft will be considered as a termination of the commissioning contract and no further work will be performed on his/ her behalf.

Your Career Ally advises that estimates and prices are good for 30 days from the time of order placement. Current prices apply thereafter.

The Client retains intellectual property ownership of all work produced and may reproduce and distribute copies as he/she sees fit but is not allowed to share or sell formatting and/or verbiage to other jobseekers. Your Career Ally reserves the right to use all work in its portfolio after removing identifying information of the Client, such as contact, geographical, and specific employment details.

Your Career Ally is not liable for information obtained from a Client that is inaccurate or incorrect. Your Career Ally does not research any information given by the client.

Your Career Ally’s liability is limited to completion of work and assumes no liability after résumé has been proofread and approved by the Client.

Your Career Ally does not guarantee job placement or employment success. Our Clients’ successes are directly dependent upon the effort, commitment and diligence they put into fully integrating our cover letters and résumés into their job-search strategies. Outcomes and successes are affected by many external variables including market volatility, local and national economies, market saturation for a particular industry, and a Client’s level of experience, adaptability to workforce changes, skill sets, or continued motivation.

Your Career Ally’s goal is to provide the best possible résumé package for each of our Clients. It is the responsibility of the Client, and indeed, in the Client’s best interest, to supply us with all requested information and to work collaboratively with us to complete a customized package that reflects their individuality and highlights their career assets. Your Career Ally strongly encourages active Client participation in this process to achieve the best outcome possible for all concerned.
